Kurt lewin (key founder of social psychology): b = f(p,e) Behaviour is a fxn of the person and the env"ment. Focused on present moment: arguing that the situation a person happens to be in at a particular time is a key influence on behaviour (contrast to behaviourism) Mimicry: taking on for ourselves the behaviours, emotional displays, and facial expressions of others. Chameleon effect: describes how people mimic others non-consciously, automatically copying others" behaviours even w/o realizing it. Social norms: the (usually unwritten) guidelines for how to behave in social context. Social loafing: occurs when an indiv puts less effort into working on a task w/ others.
