Form of methamphetamine that has undergone additional chemical refinement to remove impurities. Blocks the reuptake of dopamine in the reward centres of the brain. Because of this, it increases the amount of dopamine in the synapse between the cells, making the postsynaptic cell more likely to fire. Stimulates the release of dopamine in presynaptic cells. Stimulates the release of massive amounts of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Also blocks serotonin reuptake, ensuring that neurons containing serotonin receptors will fire at levels much greater than normal. It takes time for serotonin levels to return to normal. Increase in energy levels and a feeling of euphoria. Structural abnormalities of cells in the frontal lobes (which reduce the brain"s ability to inhibit relevant thoughts) Causes dehydration and heat stroke (sweating and lack of ability to eat, forgetting to drink water)
