What happens in the brain when people feel anger, recall a past experience, undergo hypnosis, or take an intelligence test. Impact of culture on individuals, the origins and uses of language, the ways in which groups form and dissolve and the similarities and differences between people from different backgrounds. Psychology: the scientific study of mind and behaviour. Mind: our private inner experience of perceptions, thoughts, memories, and feelings. Behaviour: observable actions of human beings and nonhuman animals.
