Individual behavior uses of itns are most effective to prevent it: pregnancy these women are more vulnerable, age 5-19 y/o are unlikely to use itn. Strategies to tackle it curative and preventive. Individual lifestyle/behavioral change: compliance, adherence to preventative behaviors and drug treatment, education for behavior change, changing the social and economic env. Lots of people don"t use itns because uncomfortable. If everyone could use itn, incidence would drop lots of people can"t afford.
