Helman defines culture as an inherited lens through which the individual perceives and understands the world. Culture determines health and illness by the context we live in and also shapes our perception of illness. Culture is also about meaning , a system of meaning that influence and shape in which people view and define social world. Culture also shapes the way we conceive illness.
