N technological innovations, improved sanitation, better medical care, increased agricultural output, drop in infant mortality pop"n growth [malthus/ehrlich"s theories did not include these factors] If resource availability & pop"n growth at par future: less space to live in, food to eat, material wealth than today. N pop"n growth = poverty more than wealth, increases a country"s economic/political/military strength. N environmental degradation & scarcity migrantism, refugeeism, armed conflict. Increased pop"n = more people, more space used/natural resources used/waste.
