Lower paleolithic era; an anthrop measurement beginning at about 2. 6 million years ago. Like humans have distinct characteristics from the apes, hominins have distinct characteristic that makes them specifically hominin; Bipedal locomotion is the most important and defining chrtcs in hominin evolution.
