Criminal justice should focus on rights of the victims instead of rights of criminals. Due process: an orientation to criminal justice in which the legal rights of individual citizens including crime suspects are paramount. Equal justice for all regardless of wealth or social status. Justice must be deliberate and ensure procedural fairness.
