From conception to birth, includes nine months of pregnancy. There are three phases of prenatal development: germinal, embryonic and fetal stage. The germinal stage is the first two weeks after conception - during this the cells divide rapidly and migrates along the mothers fallopian to uterine cavity. The implantation of placenta also occurs during this stage. Heat starts beating around 9 weeks- this is the embryonic stage. It lasts until the second month of pregnancy. The fetal stage starts after from the third week of pregnancy until birth- now called the fetus continues physical maturation. Between 22 to 26 weeks the fetus reaches the age viability - the age at which a baby can survive in the event of a premature event: brain development.
