Eds200: child, adolescent, and adult development in education. Development refers to the pattern of change that occur over time beginning at conception and continues through the life cycle. A developmental change must follow a logical pattern that moves towards greater complexity. External stimuli can change how a person feels, behaves, and their physical body. It"s been determined that both of these play a factor, genetics and environment. Stability: we remain the same throughout life time. Plasticity: we can change throughout life based on our experiences. The idea that learning might be continuous (this is for continuous notes) The plan or structure of an investigation. Stress, weight, age, academic achievement, temperament, positive behavior, socioeconomic status, birth order. Control variables = not meant to influence the outcome. Nutrition -> you want to make sure children are having proper meals without excessive sugars/fats. By age 3, enjoying simple movements (e. g. , hopping, jumping ) By age 5, running hard, is adventurous (e. g. , tries climbing)
