Introduction: quality in qualitative research is something that is recognized when one is able to see it. However, explaining what it is or how to get it is a different matter, something more difficult. Literature indicates that evaluation is necessary but there is lacking agreement and consistency of what evaluation should consist of. The problem in how to assess qualitative data has not been solved: regardless the author states that qualitative research is both scientific and creative and that the final product will reflect both of these characteristics. Others say it is another word for truth. The researcher should take action that is strategic during the research process in order to ensure validity and reliability such as investigator responsiveness, methodological coherence, theoretical sample. However there is nothing about context, process, density, variation or creativity for that matter. Charmaz" four categories: credibility, originality, resonance, usefulness.
