Things to ask yourself before starting a research project: Survey of the current scientific literature in a given area; usually done via online databases. Preliminary study/trial often carried out to predict problems & assess features of a main study. Collection of data organized & stored electronically, often online. I. e. , psychinfo, psycarticles, pubmed, & google scholar. Descriptor that captures the themes, theories, & variables explored in a study. In-depth research study on an individual/group/event over a specific period of time. Research article written by the researcher(s) who conducted the study. Article that summarizes the findings of many primary source articles.
