Effective management of the environment is critical to avoiding at least 25% of all preventable diseases worldwide. Mainly caused by unsafe water and polluted air. Even other diseases like malaria can be decreased (40%) Some environmental issues are better in developed countries: targeted interventions: promoting safe household water, better hygiene methods, safer household cleaners, reduces the normal stuff but like also road traffic injuries and drowning :/ Federal, provincial and municipal governments all take on this responsibility: public health agencies are also becoming responsive to the public demands. People are exposed to contaminants: ingesting food etc, inhalation of contaminated gas, skin contact, radioactivity. Population in developed countries would decrease if not for the net migration of ppl from the developing world. Estimates for population growth is largely dependent on predicted fertility rates: world"s fertility rates are expected to decline, in less developed countries.
