Art (toilet signed and put on a wall no longer a toilet, now art) Advertising system attaches meaning to products, family, power. Daily use communicates meanings of intention/utility of product. There is not an infinite/open-ended amount of meanings. Social context places limits on range of available meanings and options. Male head banker can"t go into work in a dress. Only information about product = what the market provides. Control of information = loss of the origin of product.
