Surface anatomy has to do with superficial structures (what we can touch or feel) Regional anatomy focus on specific regions of the body. System anatomy focuses with the body system -> looks at the organs that make up the system. Physiology is the function of the structure that comprises the human body. Focused on the biochemical processes that allows the individual parts that allow it to function. Atom are the basic unit of matter -> parts of atom: nucleus (protons, neutrons) electrons. Cell is the smallest structural and functional unit in a living body. Tissues are groups of cells with common function: epithelium cover, muscle movement, connective support structures within the body, nervous sends electrical signals and impulse throughout the body.
