Misconception that there is only one type of feminist: the stereotypical feminist portrayed in media: assumption that all feminists hate men, women fear association with feminism as a whole. Third wave modern outlook, women of color, gay/lesbian, etc. Queer describes the other, but (mainly) in relation to sexual practices. Queer is an umbrella term, but includes everyone: some think it is a generalization, we have all faces different struggles/discrimination that influence our lives that need to be represented, homogenizes. Queer is a concept of those who deviate from the norm: used to rid people of having a single label and being identified for it. Similarities behind stories (of zombies) and real life. Zombies are misplaced creatures that have been stripped down to existing at. Main focuses of politics and media today. Zombies and xenophobia, racism, fear of terrorism: people view foreigners how they would view zombies as dangerous, impossible to communicate/co-exist with, and completely non- relatable.
