Less producive procrasinate (b/c they expect the worst) Major depressive disorder: depressive episode without hx of mania, recurrent if previous dep. Episodes: seasonal, catatonic if marked by immobility or excessive acivity, postpartum if within 4 weeks of birth, melancholic if person is almost totally unafected by pleasurable events. Persistent depressive disorder chronic unipolar: may experience major dep epi, dysthymic disorder less severe and less disabling sx.
