Two basic defects in male-dominated philosophizing: false and damaging claims about women, experiences and perspectives of women have been ignored/distorted. 4 central (shared) claims/positions: women are moral equals of men, experiences of women deserve respect and attention. Require understanding of full range of experiences: traits traditionally associated to women at are least as morally significant as masculine traits. Empathy, sympathy, caring, mercy, altruism, compassion vs. Competitiveness, independence, autonomy, justice, etc: autonomy requires caring (social construct, traditionally feminine ways of moral reasoning are often superior to traditionally masculine ways of reasoning.
