Based on the systematic collection of data & then selection of a change action based on what the analyzed data indicate. 5 steps: diagnosis (gather info), analysis, feedback (share w/ employees), action, evaluation (effectiveness of the plan) Seeks to identify the unique qualities & special strengths of an organization, which can then be built on to improve performance.
