If they refuse their male relatives in the gang would be punished. Andres was getting beat up by guards at the prison. Paz forced to work and pay money to the guards to not beat up her son. Guards often bribed from the outside to provide basic necessities for prisoners, as these are often lacking. Narco-bosses often break out their workers from jail. Despite efforts by paz to suck up to andres" boss, he was never broken out of jail. Narco-wives do not live the glamorous lives portrayed by the media. Often live in a state of economic uncertainty.
