One of the ways we are linked in relationships with each other is through the voices that inhabit us. We are thinking through the pros and cons of an issue: ex. Frequently engaged in internal dialogue with others who are not within range of my voice. Envision others watching me as i go about my daily affairs. I am in imaginal contact with others as i am reminded of their preferences and dislikes: ex. my mothers voice cautioning me to enjoy my kid"s childhood b/c they grow so quickly. Imaginial conversations might become constructed as part of all human experience and might even take on some greater import within individuals" lives. Expanding our dialogues with social ghost, we might be better able to create changes in our ongoing relationship with real-time others, changes that would be beneficial to others as well as ourselves.
