Piaget was different because he thought of intelligent behaviour as resulting from a child"s environment thought children"s cognitive development arose out of constant interaction between their level of maturation and their world experiences. Children want to make sense of experiences and construct their understanding of the world. Children are scientists create theories about how the world works theories make the world seem more predictable. Children are active contributors towards their own development. Schemas psychological structures that organize experiences though mental categories and conceptual models of knowledge children"s engagement with the world helps to create this. Infant schemas are based off own actions need to learn motor skills learn how aspects of their world relate to them. Babies learn events and relationships when they understand how parts of their body relate to one another in order to manipulate an object.
