Real property law is typically concerned with land rather than buildings on the land, whereas real estate law may be concerned with both land and buildings. In this course we cover very generally both real property law and real estate law. We will also introduce environmental considerations to the discussions in class. Intellectual property law is a branch of law usually dealt with by lawyers practicing solely in the field. You will need to understand generally the various types of intellectual property how they differ and what they cover but not the detail of each type. Ownership must be registered registry system vs. land titles system.
