A tool developed by edward de bono as part of his work on lateral and creative thinking strategies i. e. stay home and study tonight. Leaders must therefore: communicate a vision and rally others around that vision. Leader"s most important job may be to transform the way the company does business so that it is more effective and efficient: stress accountability and responsibility. Leaders need to be held accountable and need to feel responsible for their actions: transparency the presentation of a company"s facts and figures in a way that is clear, accessible, and apparent to all stakeholders. Government are trying to make companies (and themselves) more transparent so that everyone is more aware of what is happening to the economy and to specific businesses and government agencies. Controlling: making sure it works: establishing clear performance standards. This ties the planning function to the control function.
