Research with monkeys: monkeys were placed in cages with an ariicial feeding tube and wire cage mother, these monkeys survived however were unable to interact with other monkeys when placed in a group. They were passive, anxious and fearful: monkeys were placed with ariicial wire cage mothers that were covered in cloth, there monkeys did beter however they sill sufered. This experiment concluded the importance of afecion towards infants. Physical contact is crucial for the development of healthy monkeys and humans. Children isolated by abusive family members show the damage caused by depriving humans beings of the social experience.
