Postmortem abuse is a political action used to intimidate people: head impaled on a spike to show what happens to traitors, not releasing dead bodies of persons killed in government custody to a community for a funeral. Common elements of funerals: pre-mortem preparations (aka actions taken in contemplation of death) Transfer of property between dead and living is regulated by formal or common law. Debts must be paid and rule of inheritance enforced for assurance of the community.
