77 views4 pages

Document Summary

Toleration= chief characteristic mark of the true church. You"re not responsible for other people"s salvation, people concern themselves with their own and not others. People deprive people of their property (houses and goods) allow corporal punishments and stave and torment people in prisons and if all this is done to make people christians for their salvation then the system would be corrupt. All of these things are contrary to the good of god. If the way to salvation was the goods of souls according to religions, then people would send their army"s instead of out to war with weapons into the church with bibles. Civil interests= life, liberty, health, indolence of body, and things like land, money, house, furniture etc . The civil courts job is by the impartial execution of equal laws is to keep people safe, and people"s things safe. If someone wants to violate the laws, they won"t want to because of fear of punishment.
