Blood carry away h ions and prostaglandin secretion = maintain blood flow and bicarb, mucus secretion. Aggressive forces = infection with helicobacter pylori, nonsteroidal anti- inflammatory agents, smoking, alcohol, corticosteroids, personality and psych stress.
