Only a complete ofer can form the basis of a contract. All terms must be set out or the contract will fail for uncertainty. An ofer can achieve the requisite standard of certainty even if it leaves certain maters to be decided in the future. Invitaion to treat an expression of willingness to do business. Are not ofers because they fail to specify the terms or scope of the proposed agreement. Customer takes item to cash register (ofer to purchase at sicker price) Standard form contract a take it or leave it contract, where the customer agrees to a standard set of terms that favours the other side. An ofer in law has been made if it is suiciently comprehensive and can be made without further elaboraion or clariicaion.
