The behaviour modiier assesses the target behaviour to determine its level prior to the introducion of the program or treatment and analyzes the individual"s current environment to idenify possible controlling variables of the behaviour to be changed. If a child is having trouble in school, the behaviour modiier will look for behavioural excesses or deicits that contribute to the problem, such as a reading deiciency or disrupive behaviour. (3) treatment phase. Behaviour therapist/analyst will design a program to bring about desired behaviour change. In educaional seings, they are called training or teaching programs. In clinical/community seings, they are called intervenion strategy or therapy programs. Frequent observaion and monitoring of the target behaviour during training is important! Clinical treatment programs typically involve client assessment at various intervals.
