Special education is the implementation of good classroom teaching practices in an effort to provide specialized programming for students with exceptionalities. How do we determine strengths of students with exceptionalities. What specialized programming is needed to meet the needs of the students and how does it get constructed. What do teachers have to know and do differently to properly implement specialized programming. Assessments must be done and they reveal how each student with exceptionalities differ from their peers and how to construct specialized programs- giving teachers descriptions of educational interventions. Assessment have a variety of different formats when applied in educational settings. Most people think of assessment as being tested or believe it is a one time process based on one test.
