Immunization: a process that stimulates the body"s immune system to defend against attach by a particular contagious disease. Immunization may be accomplished either naturally (by having the disease) or through vaccination: specific diseases to vaccinate against, smallpox, polio, measles, varicella, some people cannot be safely immunized, including, embryos, newborns, people with impaired immune systems.
