Warner wrote poetry, novels, short stories, and tales many appeared on the new yorker magazine. Belongs to a tradition in english of orientalized bluebeard tales that started in the eighteenth century (when orientalism first started in europe) Djamileh was the daughter of bluebeards third wife who died in childbirth and who. The tale is set almost like a myth. Bluebeard was the conscientious father who spent a lot of money on his daughter to keep her safe and happy. Bluebeard was set on finding his daughter a good stepmother. Djamileh lost her father at nine years old and she was incredibly upset.
