Technical knowledge can be discovered or constructed, it would be time-consuming and perhaps unnecessary endeavour. Students learn to critically examine and question techniques and diagnostic procedures, not accepting information at face value but recognizing a body of knowledge that is learned, practiced, and applied. Educators who work with technical knowledge also often see themselves as designers of instruction.
