Definition: globalization is a process of increasing interconnectedness between societies such that events on one part of the world increasingly have effects on people and societies far away. A globalized world is one in which political, economic, cultural, and social events become more and more interconnected. Societies are affected more and more extensively and more deeply by events of other societies. These events can be categorized into three categories: What are some examples: global newspaper, international social movements such as amnesty internationals, or global franchise such as mcdonalds, coca-cola, and global risks such as pollution, climate change, and hiv/aids. Globalization is not an a new phenomena however, in fact it many people would agrue that it has been a long time feature. Industrialization has changed the nature of the state, by widening its responsibilities, and weakening its control over outcomes.
