The teaching-learning process involves dynamic interaction between teacher and learner. Nurses teach a variety of clients and their families in a range of settings. Nurses may teach individual clients or their families on self-care, exercise, diet ect. They may also teach the family this information and ways to support the client. Nurses are often involved in community health education programs. Community teaching activities may be aimed at large groups of people who have an interest in some aspect of health. Nurses are also involved in the instruction of professional colleagues through continuing education. A learning need is a desire or a requirement to know something that is presently unknown by the learner. Learning is a change in human disposition or capability that persists that cannot be accounted for solely by growth.
