Sex refers to physical anatomy; gender refers to one"s social and psychological idenity. Both have variable presentaions; sex ranges between female, intersex, and male; gender can align with sex, or be diferent, for example one whose sex is male and gender is woman is termed transgender. Sexual script is the internal framework we use to understand our own sexual desires and roles; it is implicitly taught by society. Sadker (1994) reveals deeply held aitudes about gender; almost all litle boys asked could not same a single posiive aspect of being a girl, and in fact some said they would rather be dead. Gendered norms afect one"s educaion, occupaion, economic status, and social treatment. For example, boys and girls siing in the same classroom sill receive two disinct educaions, through the hidden curriculum.
