to know and understand the person.”

love and we need to love
-We can learn and “come to know” the message of salvation
-“We can know a lot about Jesus without meeting and responding to him as a person”
-“Both the Old and New Testament, the Hebrew and Christian scriptures, insist that to
know God is to love, to obey and to believe.”
-“Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love” (1 Jn 4:8)
-Knowing God is active, you can’t just understand knowledge (possession)
