Each tissue is a group of cells that work together performing a specialized function. Life"s fundamental unit of structure and function. There are multicellular and single celled organisms. Single cell performs all the functions of life. Multicellular organisms has a division of labor among specialized cells. Each level of organization that novel properties emerge that are absent from the preceding level.
