Voluntary social agencies non-profit social service organizations in the private sector; examples include family service bureaus, immigrant settlement agencies and women shelters. These agencies may be sectarian (religious) or secular (non-religious) This is how most social agencies plan and deliever their programs. Try to respond to changing community needs and be flexible when matching peoples needs to services. Clients encouraged to make their own decisions about their own well being and have a positive relationship with support systems.
