The wedding of sir gawain and dame ragnelle (coursepack: much of this story is downright ridiculous. Medieval romance contains the two basic characteristics of advances and wish-fulfillment. Courtly love men should obey the rights of chivalry. Dame ragnelle is in charge of the action of the story. Gromer recognizes the king right away which means he is recognizable. Shows respect by using sir gromer"s name. Points out the consequences and is level headed (negotiation time) More sophisticated in his speech than gromer, trying to buy time. Described as a courteous and royal king. He only loved brave knights and thought cowards were a disgrace. When the knight blew his bugle, every knight recognized it and rushed to him right away. Will not force gawain to marry dame ragnelle. In his country there was nothing but chivalry. Gawain many good times with her day and night.
