Case in case study may be indiv person/nonhuman animal, current events, program or activity. When case in case study is social unit such as family, sports team, high school, or business organization, researchers usually collect data either from all members/sample of indiv members from that social unit. Approach allows researchers to draw upon wide variety of techniques to gather data. As data collection proceeds, may give rise to new questions that researcher might decide to explore/indicate limitations in study"s design/execution that researchers able to remedy w/i remainder of study. Can offer unique window into nature of person"s behaviour & mental life. Can provide considerable detail about unusual events & ppl who have rare psychological abilities/disorders. Provide insight into more common psychological experiences & afflictions.
