Half the cases are of women suffering from illegal abortions. Women feel discouraged about having children and some countries are campaigning against drug companies. Women feel that it is dangerous to live the life of an independent woman. Issue is population control is brought country from outside such as programme often being made a condition for country receiving aid from the developed world. Another problem dumping drugs which are banned from the first world. Population control agencies co-operate with multinational pharmaceutical companies and allow such abuses in pursuit of profit. Pictures such as third world countries breeding like animals are shown from western perspective.
