Book provides problem-centric approach to engaging w/ qualitative research by linking practice of any research method to specific research questions. To practice research reflexively - means being aware of own researchers standpoint - set of values & attitudes brought to any given research project. Practice model of learning about qualitative research - means several things. Field of qualitative research framed as process. By emphasizing process, students are shown how researchers make decisions along the way impacting research findings. Each chapter offers holistic approach to research. Emphasizes foundations on which research as a whole is based. Questions asked in this research usually begin w/ words like how, why, or what. Social meaning ppl attribute to experiences, circumstances, situations & meanings ppl embed into texts, images, other objects. At heart of it, qualitative researchers extract co-created meanings gathered from participants" data in order to get at multiple subjective accounts.
