Social expectations. (what do others expect of me?) Ii: conventional: authority of maintaining morality, democratically accepted. Universality. (what is best for all?: principles of conscience. Conduct disorder- diagnostic term used to represent a group of behaviours characterized by habitual misbehavior: skipping school, setting fires, destroying property, childhood on-set type- before age 10, adolescent type- if it began in adolescence. Behaviours may or may not be illegal. Acts against the person: aggravated assault, sexual assault, Offenses against the public order: crimes against society, such as noise violations. Status offences: acts only for juveniles, violation of curfew running away: most common status offenses incorrigibility, running away. Only small % of juveniles commits serious offences. Those who do engage in this behaviour often escape detention. Only 3-15 % of serious offenses ever result in police contact. Escape detection 86% of the time over a 5 year period. High recidivism rates for youth that do get caught.
