Significant proportion of millions of indivs incarcerated worldwide experience serious mental disorders. Prisoners more than 10 times as likely to have psychotic disorder, ptsd, opioid use disorder, sedative use disorder/stimulant use disorder compared to community sample. Rates of personality disorders in prison populations substantially higher compared to community populations.
