Sociability = inclination to seek out pleasant social relationships. Openness = tendency to be informed, creative, insightful, curious. Conscientiousness = tendency to be thorough, organized, controlled, dependable, decisive. Agreeableness = tendency to be accepting, conforming, trusting, nurturing. Extraversion = tendency to be sociable & assertive, have positive energy. Neuroticism = tendency to be depressed, anxious, insecure, vulnerable, hostile. Emotional intelligence = ability to understand emotions & apply understanding to life"s tasks. Goleman: ei consists of set of personal & social competencies. Effectively manage emotions w/in oneself & in relationships w/ others. Personal competence: self-awareness, confidence, self-regulation, conscientiousness, motivation.
