These topics are studied at individual, team (interpersonal) and organizaion levels. Organizaion: groups of people who work interdependently toward the same purpose. Collecive eniies where people communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with each other to achieve common objecives in an organized way. Goals are achieved by sharing materials, informaion and experise with co workers. Members have a collecive sense of purpose. Might not always be well deined or agreed on. Emerged as a disinct ield around early 1940s but has been studied by experts for centuries. Plato (greek) and confucious (chinese) wrote about ethics and leadership. 1776 = adam smith talked about job specializaion and division of labour. One hundred years later max weber (german sociologist) wrote about raional organizaion, ethics & charismaic leadership.
