Ie. high conscientiousness leads to better job performance: however, different theories may allow for different predictions that are both useful. Ie. high opens leads to better job performance. We don"t need to choose theories - we can use them all, each has their unique use: kelly: psychologists too dogmatically focused on discovering the truth. Measurement: kelly thought there was too much emphasis on measurement of individual differences. This leads to psychologists to erroneously thinking these things actually exist: psychologists becomes a statistician, rather than an expert in the human mind i. e. traits. Kelly"s view of the person: kelly"s view of the person was the same as his view of science, he believed that scientists and laypersons were engaged in the same task, we are all scientists.
