Psychology the scienti c study of the mind, brain, and behaviour. Like a ladder, moving from biological to social/cultural. We can"t explain most psychological phenomenon if we only focus on one level. Lower levels related to biological in uences (molecules); the higher levels related to social in uences. *social cultural in uences (relating to others and personal relationships) > psychological > biological. Most human behaviour is multiply determined (chosen by many factors) therefore, it is hard to predict. Psychological in uences have many factors to them and it is hard to pinpoint which exact factor contributes to the psychological in uence. People differ from one another in terms of thinking, emotion, personality, and behaviour. Humans in uence each other (reciprocal determinism- the fact that we mutually in uence each other"s behaviour) Scienti c psychology: process based approach, not concerned with individuals but group norms.
